Welcome to the "Web Projects" forums. Before you post, make sure you've selected the correct category based on the size of your project (in US dollars), or whether it is a partnership or "looking for work" request instead. Observe the guidelines for this section:
To all thread starters, check your "pm" box for responses, as that's how bidders will be communicating with you mainly using. You can turn on new pm notification by going to "User CP"-> "Edit Options"-> "Receive Email Notification of New Private Messages".
To respondents, avoid replying to a thread with a short generic response like "pm sent" as much as possible. It is pointless and clutters up the screen.
To respondents, don't reply to a work request with a summary of your resume. If you're not willing to spend the time to at least read the request and respond specifically to the request, then don't reply. The Web Projects forum isn't a place to get your resume/ portfolio posted on as many threads as possible, it's for the direct, human interaction between coder and client. Members who blanket the forums with their resume replies will be treated as spammers and banned.
To all thread starters, please update your thread's prefix to "resolved", when you've found a coder for your project or partnership (or wish to terminate the request). This is so coders don't waste time bidding on an invalid project. To do this, click on the "Edit" button under the first post of the thread, then the "Go Advanced" button. You have 14 days to update your thread's title.
I have been working on a new web service for the past 5 months and we're about ready to launch. Our service allows you to store information and instructions that will be sent to family and friends after you pass away. I need some beta testers to find bugs, test the features, and give us suggestions before our official launch (1-2 months from now).
Beta testers will have the opportunity to earn a free account once we go live and for further partnership if they prove very helpful (as we grow we will certainly be looking for additional help). We will present our top beta tester (the one who finds the most bugs and submits the best feedback) with a $250USD reward at the end of the beta period.
What do you think?

Haha, I don't want you to die, but it something that will happen to us all at some point or another. Our service lets you prepare yourself and your loved ones for that inevitability. Obviously the younger folks here won't find much use for our service, but think about your parents. It would be nice if they left you an organized set of instruction for how to claim your inheritance, find assets, and such.

We're looking at a beta testing period of 2-3 weeks. We've already performed very extensive testing ourselves, so beta testing will probably take each tester only a very limited amount of time. We simply want to get testers to look at our site and try its features; the amount of time you spend is up to you.

! lol that is depressing...my parents are going to die now? and to answer you question above, it should take about...umm...ONE LIFETIME! ! and sorry if i come off as making fun of your service, i just read it at a glance and saw that and found it funny. your service sounds like a great idea, so many people could benefit from a service like this one. i have never actually heard of this, a very origional idea.
