How to avoid this duplicate copy?

On my website I have an index.html starting with an intro (see http://www.management-trainingen.nl). The intro ends with a general text about the website, 2 images and a menu. From there the user can choose different pages. To give the user the opportunity to back to the general text I created a home-file (the file http://www.management-trainingen.nl/...rainingen.html) with exactly the same information that was at the end of the file index.html.

The problem is that Google doesn't like duplicate files and SEO people advise me to skip this "home-file". Is there an easy way out to this problem?
