Apache Logs in the wrong place

For about a week now we havent been getting any stats logging and I've found this is because for some reason the stats logs are in the wrong place, instead of being in /home/logs/access_log they're in /opt/lampp/logs/access_log but the httpd.conf specifically says where to put the custom logs, its just not doing it. No-one has changed the .conf file. The access log got too big (over 2g) and it wasnt rotated properly, I fixed the rotation script and reran it, the file rotated but since then nothing new has been logged.

Are you looking at the right conf file?

$> locate httpd.conf

Are there multiple files on the system?

Are there any overriding httpd.conf.local files?

Are there vhosts.conf files that may be overriding the default?

Just a few thoughts.
