i have a few questions to ask.

i'm using a Macintosh to work with PHP. i realise a couple of things when using it.

1) why does the `` appear when i make a selection from a dropdownlist? it works fine on Internet Explorer, why is it that when using Firefox or Safari it happens??

2) if by default i have a few fields that are disabled, only when selecting either a radio button or check box it will enable it. why it doesn't work for Safari browser?

is there anyway to for safari and firefox to work perfectly on these 2 browsers?
or is there a way to remove the `` when using on safari and firefox?

please assist.

Question 2: Javascript is rather sketchy cross browser. Perhaps best to ask in the JS forum.
