Help...Backed up HD before Reformatting but can't import anything...

Long story short, I got a virus and reformatted my two Hd's. (60GB and 80GB) I put all the info I wanted onto the 60GB HD and then wiped the 80. I then made a copy of the 60 and put it on the 80 so that if I ever got in trouble again I would have the same info on the virus free HD. So I went to import my itunes and the program doesnt even add the files. When I go to import the playlist from the previous itunes it posts a message to me stating that 'The file "itunes music library.xml" cannot be imported. You do not have enough access privileges for this operation'...WTF... I have over 100 albumns on that playlist and I don't want to have to rip all those cds back into my computer. I also have media monkey as a media player, and it will list the songs, but when I go to click on a song to listen to it, the song turns grey and the program does not play it... Its very frustrating, and I need help... anyone

its a security feature from apple, you cannot transfer your itunes from one pc to another, and as far as im aware changing your hard drive will confuse itunes enough to tell it that your trying to rip the itunes from your ipod to another pc

download a program called ipodrip and run it, it will allow you to rip all the tracks off the ipod into mp3 format on the pc, then just drag the mp3's into your itunes, and bobs your uncle, itunes restored.

you can get icemirror (free) copy hdda to hddb to make a exact copy, or if you are willing to spend some cash you can get norton ghost make a hdd to hdd copy and then when filesystem get fried then gointo the boot disk and restore the hddb to hdda

Hmm this may also occur if you had your files set to private. You can use something like BartPE (do a search to get the files back).
