Website Design/Coding

Hello all. I guess I can not make the website I wanted to on my own. So let me explain my problem. Well, I am in a local string orchestra group in Louisiana and we want to make a website in order to intergrate technology into our group. In order to do this, we were plannig to make a massive website that could do many things, from distribute sheet music to stream audio and video, and give people the ability to post pictures. I can't do this massive task myself, and we don't have any money to hire a designer. I was wondering if any of you all would be kind enough to dedicate a few hours of their time to help our group design a website that would fit our needs. Because our group has no funding, we can not pay you, so the most we are able to do is post your name on our site.

I would greatly appreciate anyone who would want to help us design our site. Thank You

The site you are talking about will take more than "a few hours" to create, and the resulting quality will be what you pay for it. Here is a practical approach for you:

1. Write a detailed specification of the pages/interfaces/features you want the site to have. Group them into "Minimum Requirements", "Desired Set", "Complete Wishlist".

2. Have a few developers quote the job and get an understanding of an average cost, timelines involved. Be wary of low bids if you do not want to have to do it over.

3. Discuss the quotes with your orchestra members and decide what set of features you can afford and how best to raise money for it... how about playing over the weekend in your town's common....
