.pdf Issues - URGENT

Hi,

I got sent a design to go over in a .pdf format. I want to change some things, mainly text (ie address, spelling errors,etc).

How can I either edit this in Adobe Acrobat Reader so I can change those things or which other program could i use to open and edit the file?

Im not 100% sure, but from my experience with HighSchool newspaper, a .pdf if a "finished" product, meaning it cant be edited simply because of all the style requirements used in the program creating it -- that and the sem-large variety of programs used to create .pdfs. Sorry.

Once again, not 100% sure but there may be some sort of workaround for it. There are tools online that'll let you convert PDF to HTML for example. So you could convert it to HTML, edit, and reconvert to PDF. Possibly. This is all "theoretical".

If you had Adobe Acrobat Reader Pro you could edit it.

wether you can edit it, depends on the permissions that were set when the file was created.
if you open the file in adobe reader, then can see the permission with File --> Document Properties --> Security.

If it was not encrypted (so if you don't need to enter a pwd to open them), then you'll be able to convert it to word/html with quite a few converter-tool (many of them have free trial version).
Not an Open Office user, but i thought that you could there create and edit pdf's...

Even if you have the full version of Adobe Acrobat it still doesn't mean you will be able to edit it properly. If this was a professionally designed PDF file they likely used a professional design tool like Adobe Pagemaker which unless you have the source files for and the software you are probably out of luck.
