nwlink.vxd

Hey guys,

My PC seems to be missing nwlink.vxd and keeps asking for it when I boot the PC. I can't seem to find it anywhere, including my WIN98 SE CD.

Can anyone help?

If you are able to send it to me, please let me know beforehand so I can confirm - just so I don't end up with 20 copies in my inbox.

Thanks

Mxx

Thanks again

How much do you know about networking?

You can probably guess by the fact that file went missing that my attempts didn't go too well!

Well, I've just installed broadband with two PCs gaining net access through a router. Internet access is fine but I would like both PCs to see each other if possible.

One PC is Windows ME, the other is Win 98. Whenever I set any network properties for the 98 one and go into network neighbourhood the PC is shown there and not in Entire Network.
This problem doesn't occur with the Win ME PC but neither of them can see the other.

I'm not too sure what the settings need to be for DNS and such like but trying different 'how to...' guides from the net don't seem to work.

I think the problem lays with the 98 PC, but not sure why.

Any help, walkthroughs, greatly appreciated.

Curently at work so may not be able to answer all questions you have, but the router is a 'DSL-504 ADSL Router with 4 Built in Switched Ports' and my isp is plus.net - can't give you any configurations just now - would need to wait until I get home.
