Well, the W3C is having a bit of a civil war right now. The HLink specification has met with outright hostility by the W3C Technical Architecture Group. The HTML Working Group accuses TAG of not developing XLink enough to support them in XHTML 2.0.
I'm wondering what you guys think. Which should XHTML favor?

Well, personally I think the arguments about XLink not being good enough are quite adequate. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me to force script elements in XHTML 2 use xlink:href and a whole bunch of other attributes.
