Question a few newbie questions

I'm new to CGI/Perl.

Do i need anything Special to run a CGI program on a windows 2000 box?

where can i get a free complier?

How do i upload it to my server?

In order of your questions:

Yes, you need a perl executable (http://www.activestate.com)

You don't need one, just use Notepad and save as name.cgi or name.pl

You can use a standard FTP-program and then when the files are on the server (in you cgi-bin) you have to CMOD them to 755

Hope this is enough information, though I guess not
