Would be a great idea to see a picture set as background of the body that actuallys is going for the dunk, you could add little basketballs as list bullets.
You could make your gifs unjagged by blending them with the background color and sue them as one iamge, jagged edgeds fixed.
It is not about validation et all but about looks and feel and usability.

The blue color scheme is working ok, but the rest does not.
You could make a animated gif that would throw a ball in the net when you are clicking a nav item.
