Web Host

I'm looking for a good webhost and am curious to what you all use so that I can better compare. I'm not too concerned with special tools & glamour and stuff. Just server-side support capabilities.

one that catches my eye is http://www.hostonce.com/ has anyone used this or heard anything about it?

WA will become famous soon enough
I haven't heard of hostonce.com, though to get some specific recommendations you should post your requirements, such as bandwidth, space, features (ie: cpanel) etc. Two virtual hosts I've tried that are great are Site5 and F5 hosting.

JamieR is on a distinguished road
I've got a friend who used host once for a few years and he said that he was extremley happy with their service (he only moved hosts because he needed a dedicated server) - he recommended HostOnce to me, their plans look pretty good.

WebHostingTalk - www.webhostingtalk.com is a good place to discuss web hosting

Thanks for the reply.

My requirements are more for bandwidth instead of space. I estimate 1GB of space and at least 30GB of bandwidth p/month. A large portion of the effort will be handling traffic (2 large online games). ASP.NET, CGI, PHP, etc......

I believe WebHost4Life would meet your needs. I have one of my sites hosted with them for a little over 2 years, and have been very happy with their service. Check 'em out.

You mean transfer not bandwidth. Bandwidth is the ammount of information you can transfer at a given point in time. Transfer is the ammount of information transfered over a given period of time.

Most web hosts list that feature under the name "bandwidth," which I'll agree is technically incorrect. However, most people know what that really means.

I use webintellects. More than superb service, more than superb response times, more than superb uptime.

Can't really recommend them any more. Prices are realistic. Although, quite dear if you are short of pocket.

I may be a little late coming to the game on this one but I have hosted with beachcomber.net for over 18 months. Two things I like about them are response and value.
