Cookie Editor - Modify cookies for any site (FF)

My Cookie Editor is contiained in a single "javascript:" link, and utilizes FireFox's ability to use really long URLs (over 4k chars).

The script does not work in IE. I had originaly coded a cross browser version, but after 500 or so characters IE stops executing the script.

The actual unescaped URL is 4000+ chars long. I tried my best to reduce the size of the script by creating wrapper functions for longer DOM functions, and by using very short variable names (most are only one or two chars long.)

For some reason, when a single line of text gets up to around 4000 chars long the OS has a problem rendering the line, and the text disappears.

The URL had to be escaped in order to allow me to break it into multiple lines. The script I used to escape the URL escaped every char. This was not my desired result, but it worked and there is a simple way to get at the unescaped URL.

If you want to see the unescaped URL, copy and paste the above HTML/Javascript into a web page. view the page, right click the "Cookie Editor" link and choose the "Copy Link Location" option. Open a text editor, paste the URL from the clip board.

Or just visit the link I posted above and copy the link location from the link on that page.

As I mentioned above the script does not work in IE because IE stopped executing the script after only 500 chars of URL. I still had a lot more code to write at only 500 chars, so I dropped support for IE in favor of NS / FF which do support really long URLs.

I use the cookie editor for testing purposes, and do not care if it works in every browser, it works for me and I just thought I'd share it with you.
