Want a lot of free Microsoft software?
The computer science department at my university recently signed up a subscription with Microsofts Academic Alliance program. This is a program that gives the school departments and students free access to many different software titles from Microsoft for educational purposes. Once your school has subscribed to the program all students enrolled in computer science courses at your school can sign up to either download or check out CD's for all kinds of software.
It seems like a pretty good program for students to be able to become familiar with all the major software that Microsoft has to offer. Software titles include:
Visual Studio 6 Professional
Windows XP Professional, Windows 9x
Visio Pro 2002
Project 2002
etc.
I've already downloaded Visual Studio which includes Visual C++, Interdev, Visual Basic and many other components.
If you are a student let your school faculty know about the program. If the school signs up for it then you can get access to this too. Here is a link for more information about it:
