I was wondering and thought that it would be kewl if you introduced more rankings, to make people post more, seeing as the tend to stop as soon as they become a senior member or simply just a member.
I am thinking of some possibilities for ranks, and I will post them on the boards a bit later, when I get home.
Three ranks are just not enough when it comes to those who have made something like 800 posts, or even more. A rank of senior member is just not enough, they need something a little bit more than that.
seeing as all big BBS try to get as many features as the others i suppose that VB has custom user levels according to post number? that would be great but dont have boring things like mega-ultra-very old-senior member. maybe we could have titles like "elder" "apprectice", but then people would think its a sect

just to have thrown my two cents in where it's not needed, a rank based on the number of posts, will always be sort of silly. do we even really need the ranks at all? they're of little to no importance/use, aside from knowing who's a mod, and who's not, and that's posted in every forum, anyway.
we're all members, no matter how many posts we've made, and as far as being a senior member is concerned, a senior member is someone who's been around long enough to start answering more questions than they ask, has been in a few good discussions, and has had the good sense to stay out of a few bad ones.
i think the rankings are pretty cool.
although i dont pay much attention to them
i dont think they should be removed, and adding a few more ranks would be a good idea
the other thing is imagine a really talented web designer just joins and only has a few posts, does that mean that his post count refelcts his level? no!

A high post count doesn't reflect the level of talent but it does indicate a likelihood that the responder will be around for followup questions. The converse isn't true though, a low post count doesn't mean the responder won't be around for long as everyone with a high post count had to start with a low count.
It doesn't but when I joined I didn't like the fact that I was a junior memeber, I worked all day and night for a week to get 30 posts which. (This didn't include posts to up the count they were proper..)
