Exclamation Liquid css layouts

How can i make my css layout fluid. I want a layout with a navigation column on the left hand side, a middle sontent and a header and a footer. How can this be achieved?

Any help will be very appreciated.

Would you want either side solid, or completely fluid all the way around?

Your header and foot can just be 100% width's with percentage, em, or pixel defined height. Your two middle columns would be a percentage then.

Try this site from the noodle incedent I find all the layouts really good to work with and then they can validate well.
