Ressurect an FDisk-ed hard drive

Hi all,

I have a hard drive that was fdisked to ~30gb back when I had windows 98/me/2000. Not sure which it was.

Anyway, it used to be ~60GB in size, and due to some issue, it was would only be recognised as ~30GB - and it was fdisk-ed down.

Now, running windows xp, and fdisk no longer exists, and I can't seem to find a way to ressurect the fdisk-ed drive. (It's connected via USB).

Help?

By the way, in Partition Magic, and on chkdsk/r, the max drive size is showing as 31GB.

I've removed all partitions, but the max drive size remains the same.

Really do need some help here.

Sounds like this might be more of a BIOS problem... I would try updating the BIOS... The other thing to consider is if the enclosure for the hard drive has any firmware updates...

HTH,

It can't be a BIOS issue - I've two h/d that are 250GB each. They are both recognised with no problem...

I've resolved the situation. Figured it can't be a software issue, checked the drive and it was set as a 15pin and not a 16pin drive. All is a.ok.
