images

i dont really know alot about using the gd library and i cant find any tutorials on what i want so......

i have a large image about 1600x1200(map.png or map.gif)
how would i place certain smaller images about 100x100 (icon.gif or icon.png)in a certain part of the map, say x 22 y 35 or something similar and is there a faster way to create multiple (say 5 or so) of the smaller images at different places on the map
