Longhorn Query

Is there a beta/trial version of Longhorn available anywhere?

I have a few clients who are interested in it (if its available). I am able to download a copy of "winfx" through my works MSDN subscription but cant seem to find any beta/trial of longhorn.

It may not even be available yet.

Thanks

Yeah there are versions of the beta around - for testing purposes. I believe you can get it from Microsoft's MSDN website as a beta tester, but I couldn't find anywhere I could download it (well I was looking quickly)..

Also I found it on the bitTorrent networks, but apart from it being illegal to download microsoft stuff from there, I doubt the quality of it - a decent copy off Microsoft will be your best bet, although I have seen copies of the latest beta build floating around on eBay.

Jamie.

Cheers, I will have to convince work to let me log in to the MSDN site to see if I can get a copy from there

Not sure, to be honest I havent really looked into getting longhorn much yet, however www.winsupersite.com might be able to shed some light on it.
