VB & mySQL

Hi code some one help, i have a domain name hosted by a hostin company which allows me to have a mysql database i wish to write a small vb program to connect to the database and allow me to update it. I am using mySQL connector net 1.0.4 and whenever i try and connect i get the msg unauthorized user mysqlusername(which i specify in the connection string)@currentisp.com any help would be appractitated, i n think this is fairly simple but still fairly new to programmin g
