windows server 2003 dns for a .com

i bought a .com and am running a ws2k3 server

i emailed the people i got the .com from and they said this:

Quote:
Does your current website host offer any kind of DNS hosting?
we can change their DNS records for your domain to point at your host's
server, but the host will need to update their own DNS records to 'listen
out' for domain requests for your .com address.

Otherwise frameset-redirects is about as good as it gets
so how can i do this?

Here, have a read of this:

http://www.windowsnetworking.com/art...dows_2003.html

If this is too much above your head, contact your ISP or web server host and ask if they can host your DNS for you

Glad to hear

2) ive even helped someone else in here with what i found out

Good for you

3) dont patronise me u condesending little....

From what you wrote in your first post you didn't know much about DNS, it wasn't patronising.

4) my isp doesnt do it

Fine

5) my web server host is me (this is obvious from my original post)

This is not obvious, win2003 can be used for lots of different things, it can be a DNS server without being a web server as well.

A "Thank you but I've already solved this problem" instead of blowing up at me would have been a better response. Do you treat everyone who tries to help you this way?
