Question Barcode Databases

Bit of an odd one for you all:

Is anyone aware of any free or open source databases of Books, CDs, and/or DVDs?

Ideally they would include the barcode or UPN of each product, and be in XML, CSV or MySQL format.

A long shot I know, but worth a try

If you can't google it, then I doubt they exist. The other place I would check is a library - they'll have something like that and might know where you can get it from.

Given that a database like that is going to be millions of records that are constantly updated, it's almost certain to be proprietry (I would expect a bunch of different variations, ideally a licensed feed - xml if you're really lucky). I would be surprised if it were cheap. And if it is cheap, I'd be surprised if it were good.

Yes, that is the problem I'm having. There are some free ones like www.upcdatabase.com, but they're awful.

I may just have to use Amazon's AWS, and put up with the restrictions.
