heya!

Please take a look at the site i'm designing for a friend... http://tkirstentje.tk
the problem is , i use div's now instead of frames but when you look at the Guestbook page (http://users.pandora.be/kirstentje/...gastenboek.html)at the bottom there's much space and i can't seem to remove it.. i use height:100%, any other ideas?
that's it, i hope somebody knows it

It would be better to post the true address you want people to visit instead of that dodgy tk redirect....

about the space, i use 4 div's on my pages

#topcolumn
#leftcolumn
#rightcolumn
#centercolumn

the left an right div(where the menu is) doesn't reach the bottom of the content.. it only takes the screen height 100% so when you scroll down there wil be space!! Best visble on the http://users.pandora.be/kirstentje/g...astenboek.html page

thanks for yr time

You're using a modified copyrighted image for background for the main page. Original is one of the Blizzard desktop wallpapers for WarCraft III, <http://blizzard.com/war3/wallpaper/wallpaper23.shtml>. I can't speak for the other background images, but if one is stolen, I wouldn't assume you own the copyright for any of them. Which is bad.

Not to unduly pick on you but while we are on the subject of plagiarism....

There are two scripts which appear on the front page of your site which were taken from the owner of this forums sister site Dynamic Drive... which have had their credits removed in violation of the agreement you tacticly consented to when you got the scripts from the site...

In the HEAD: Rainbow Links script
http://users.pandora.be/kirstentje/javascript/rainbow.js
Taken from here: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex5/rainbow.htm

In the BODY: Manual Scroller
Taken from here: http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex2/manualscroll.htm

All very bad juju....

No it's not just a website. Plagiarism has cost people thousands of £s.

Can the attitude. We're all here on our spare time doing this of our free will. If you piss us off, you simply ensure that we won't help you.

You're missing the fact that the body and html heights are set to 100%. That means 100% of their parent, which in the case of the html element is the viewport (window drawing area) and in the case of body it's the html element. This means that you are effectively making the body only as large as the html element, which is only as large as the window drawing area. However, whenever you need to scroll a document it is because the canvas is larger than the viewport - in other words the contents of the body are larger than the body. Since you are not overruling the default overflow rules, the body contents are rendered past the body border. However, the background only paints for the actual body element, not any content that happens to overflow it.

Closing thread. Copyright infringement is a serious issue- you'd understand if you're on the receiving end. Also, having an altitude about it definitely isn't a legitimate defense.
