Install Question

I am trying to install a php script and it says this

Open browser and access the admin/ folder, then log on with login and password of option.php that you chose before

I thought i would just do
www.xxxxx.com/admin/name of folder
BUt that does not work

Here is the read me notes

That does not do it either should the folder be in the html_public or outside of it
