Apache tutorials

I'm doing a project on apache http server. Does anyone know of any good apache tutorials/ressources? As of now I've installed it and the service is running, but I really don't know anything about it. Don't even know where my root directory is or how to change my default document. I know it's done in the httpd.conf file, but I don't know where in the file. Any help would be appreciated.

I found my default page. I couldn't find it becasue I installed 1.3 and 2.0 at the same time because I wanted to try them both, but even if I stopped 1.3 if I tried to start up 2.0 it launched 1.3, so the dcouments I changed weren't the ones being displayed. I guess I'll just use 1.3 for now. Still looking for tutorials tho.
