Google Virus in the news...

MyDoom= Global Worming: This attack was severe enough that at least one search engine’s (Google) servers were taken down. Or at least that’s what the image posted by Andy Beal would lead some to believe. However, according to Google’s blog, their servers were not taken down; rather they blocked those who were infected with the virus and its automated search queries. What's MyDoom again? Here's a technical explanation of the MyDoom virus and how it works....

I was never infected but I got that -27 server error most of the day on Monday....

But then again, I constantly click thru Google when I am browsing from site to site just to screw up the referrer from where I truly came from. But then again, I have cookies blocked for Google and use a proxy, so maybe they had the proxy on their infected IP list

And FWIW, I also had problems with Altavista on monday.
They're server was down for a few hours also....
