google and lawsuits

this just came to my attention (google news france is a bit late on the ball )
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/3662915.stm

what do you think about the legitmacy of google being sued for everything they do? off the top of my head i can remember these cases
-sharman networks(kazaa) make google remove kazaa lite links
-google are being hounded by pro-privacy groups about feautres in the upcoming Gmail
-another trademark lawsuit

am i the only person who believes google is good thing?

I used to think Google was great. But more and more lately, they're nothing but ebay and porn results in the searches. And as far as the Google Ads, they have this annoying habit of "refusing to pay up" and they'll accuse you of every scam in the book such as "creating bots to click the ads", etc. And I constantly hear site admins contacting Google about illegal content in their ads and weeks, months later nothing is done about it even after Google claims they fixed things. Take a look at how Spybot S&D was affected.

Also, if you were mislead to SpyHunter or SpyKiller through Google AdWords, please contact Google. Google promised me some weeks ago they wouldn't do any more advertisement on my trademarked name "spybot", but I again receive complaints that they do, and this struggle with Google is going on for 4 months now.

I imagine Google has always been like this, it's just never really been reported about so much but as the Google corporate enterprise grows and grows as it does these things are bound to surface in headlines more.

Especially with their upcoming IPO.

Well yeah that's going to make the media jump all over them, which they already did earlier this year over here.

After reading that article, it almost sounds like the Windows vs. Lindows argument.. would've been nice if we could see the search terms Axa and others are talking about..

I don't do any business with Google, other than search for answers to my programming problems, or reviews on movies, so I can't comment on their business services.

As far as turning up porn results, I think most search engines have the same issue! I haven't seen much about ebay results, other than on the search results on the right hand side. But they've got Froogle which might turn up results like that..

Sadiq.

I've used froogle and its worked pretty good. I found a great deal on a new digital camera through it.
