Please Review My Site

I started learning HTML a few years ago then life happened and it got put on the backburner. About a month ago I picked it back up and quickly discoverred I had lost much of the knowledge I had originally aqquired ,not to mention how things had changed. I really enjoy coding and the unique challenges it brings and think it would be cool to pick up a few bucks on the side doing sites for small local businesses. So I guess I am sort of a newbie and would really appreciate any hints and advice you folks might throw my way. These forums and their archives have certainly been a huge help for me thus far. I have only tested the site in Moz and IE-6

Many Many Thanks
Evan

bcarl314 will become famous soon enough
I can only assume you're referring to the site in your profile: http://unifoursolutions.com/

If so, I think it's a good start. Nice XHTML, although, you seem to have the concepts down, you're still using Transistional. With that code you should fix the little things and go Strict.

Other comments:

You may want to change the body text to a serif font (Verdana or Arial are basic, but good).
Also, you may want to bump up the contrast on the navigation, perhaps a darker bg color?

Otherwise, looks pretty good.

Actually the site will validate as XHTML 1.0 strict as is. Is there any advantage to gained by changing the doctype to strict?

Think I'll give this one more try. Is there a particular reason that I got only the one response on this?
