cross browser friendly

Hello guys and girls.
Can anyone check my site to see how it looks on various browsers. I never found out how to do that. Comments about site would be cool too.

Thumbs up

Nice design Shame about the nested tables and incomplete doctype.
Fix your DTD and run it through w3c's html validator. Do the same for your css, as you have made some typo's that it has picked up.
I tested it on the following browsers on PC:
  • Mozilla 1.6 - All good
  • Opera 7.5 - All good
  • Netscape 6.1 - Alll good, horizontal scrollbar @ 1024x768
  • IE 5.01 - All good
  • IE 5.5 - All good

I downloaded and installed all the above browsers in 15 minutes after doing a quick Google on "free browsers"

Andrew.

On the serface, it looks great when parsed. But there's a few problems validating it. Your doctype is in lowercase and it's throwing all kinds of nested errors. It wouldn't hurt to fix up the source since it could only improve your compatibility .

Thanks Tails,

Since I am a newbie and I use Frontpage to help me, I know a limited amount about HTML. Is it worth asking someone to check my source code , proper editing of Doctype and fixing my DTD? Heck, I don't even know what DTD is!!! Help!

Frontpage often leaves behind a trail of comments and meta info that isn't wanted. I recommend http://validator.w3.org to validate your pages. It's also one of the best ways to learn the good habits and some understanding of HTML. But to work around Frontpage, you'll need to use a different program such as notepad that won't reformat the page when you save. If you have some pages you don't update much, this can be a nice project. But it can be hard to do this every time on commonly updated pages.
