Updating Active Directory

i'M Given a task to write A program that will allow users to update their details in Active directory. {the behaviour of the program} When a user accesses his email {in a company} this program should pop up asking a user if he want to update his information. Can anyone advice me on how to go about this task as I'm new from University. This program should be written VB.NET.

Eish its difficult to explain this. I don't know if you understand my problem.

You should have posted in the ASP forum since it will be an ASP.NET page, or inside the javascript forum, if you want to open the popup with javascript.

uhm, it doesn't have to be ASP.NET, it can also be a VB.NET client application
