jkd will become famous soon enough
Geforce 2 easily.

Following the nVidia line, from (popular) geforce 2 boards, it basically goes:

geforce 2 mx
geforce 2 gts
geforce 4 mx
geforce 3 (ti200, then ti500)
geforce 4 tiN (where the higher the N, the better )

The Geforce 2 cards are ancient though - my integrated Geforce 2mx on my nForce is preventing me from enjoying Warcaft III in all its gaming goodness, as well as Dungeon Siege. If you have the money, a Geforce 4 Ti4600 is worth it, although the recently released Radeon 9700 stomps upon it like nothing.
(Both are expensive cards though...)

r300 aka Radeon 9700 was recently announced, and is hitting stores sometime in september. They are expected to sell for around $400. The Radeon 9000 which is replacing is already shipping and is around $100

I too may get a new card soon...but not yet. But I'm not a gamer...just want to set up a dual-monitor.

Oh, and I do believe the lead graphic designer on Warcraft III is Patrick Thomas (in CA) -- a great artist with no training -- he's married to my ex-girlfriend -- and I did his father's web site. Strange that I got that gig...but all is good!

They make hard drives.

You mean Matrox, right? And I agree they got some good dual and quad vid cards. Although don't expect to find many AGP quad cards... FYI.
