My suggestion to anyone who wants to learn something, is to go down to your local library or bookstore and pick up a nice thick book on whatever it is you want to learn.

For web design, don't go buy a book. There's much better resources online than the books I've seen. The links I posted here were a kind of liorean's-preferred-choice selection of the links form the thread mindlessLemming suggested reading.
