Question Recipe Database

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if anyone could help me, by either email, or telling me a good place to go to download a script, for a recipe database. I am helping one of my friends build it for her site. What I would like is, a submit form, then, it would have to be approved by her or me, then, it will go into a database and people will be able to search for it. Also, I would like make it so you have to register to submit recipe's. I do not have any money that I can spend on this, so please do not email me telling me that you will build one if I pay you.

Thanks

Alex

Okay, maybe I should clear this up a bit, I don't really no anything about PHP or mySQL, so, I am clueless when it comes to what to do. I want people to be able to submit recipes, and then have to be approved, then they go into the database, I know how to put things into a database, but I don't know how let a user search for a recipe, or see it. Like, if you were to search for a file, then look at it. How do you do that? Please email me alex@sailoruniverse.com .

Thanks

The problem with the PHP script section of hotscripts.com is, naturally, that it is very huge. For what you have in mind, I would center my search in the categories "Content Management" or "Virtual Communities", perhaps also "Portal Systems". Just that that doesn't make the amount of scripts to chose from smaller.

Unfortuanetely, I can't tell you which script to use, since I don't use any of them and create my own scripts custom-tailored for the needs of my customers. I'll guess you'll have to read through the descriptions of each single application and decide if that could do the job for you. Though I highly doubt you'll find a script that does exactly what you envision, so you have to find a compromise here. Base your decision thoroughly on how current the latest update ist, and if there is any developer community or support system to help you run it. Most of the scripts require some kind of PHP/MySQL/Server knowledge to set them up properly.

You can also dedicate some of your time to learning PHP; perhaps you'll like it and in any case, you'll feel much more secure when you have to adjust existing scripts to your needs.

P.S:
This is a forum. Answers shall go into the threads they belong. If everyone started emailing answers, no one else is able to follow the discussion. And the search feature becomes useless. Please think about that.
