Actually I posted the browser breakdown of visitors for CF a while ago, which can be found here: http://www.codingforums.com/showthre...hlight=browser Looking at the stats now, not much has changed.

Caffeine is an unknown quantity at this point
According to the stats on the w3s-site, the amount of visitors using gecko-based browsers have increased each and every of the past few months, yay!

Same goes for IE6 though

It doesn't take into account that more people are buying computers every month. Like it says, stats can't be trusted.

When it comes to worldwide, entire internet using population, there is one ultimate source for browser stats. It doesn't list numbers, only a graph, but you easily see what browsers are how large compared to eachother, and their usage trend. I'm talking about the Google Zeitgeist, of course. In cases other than that, there is no good estimation except for looking at your own logs, or possibly, but less dependable, having a look at the stats for sites with the same content type, update interval, target audience, and surrounding community.
