Depends how specific you want to get...for video tutorials I like thenewboston (on YouTube)...as far as books, I can really only offer my input as far as C#.

WPF 4.0 Unleashed (Sams/Nathan, 2010)
I started with the first when I was just getting into programming, and the second/third are now my go-to quick references along with MSDN. I'm not a huge fan of the Head First/Dummies/24-hour books, but everyone learns different so you should still take a look at them to see if they suit your learning style.
