can some one give me instructions on how to set up a vb light on my server?

ok i want to set up a vb light just to see if it works. So i uploaded all the files and went to the config.php file and i put the things like my database name and the pass but when i went to the page like /forum/admin/install.php to set it up, i got to the 3rd step and it says there was a error in the db.php file or whatever its called...can someone give me a complete list on how to set it up? Thanks

what's a vb light? Any links to teh script where we can download it?

My understanding was that an install file did the installing so you don't have to edit the scripts yourself - for dummies kinda - I've not used this particular app so it may be different but you could try resetting everything and trying it.

well you have to change the config file because it says db name and in the blank it says "root" my database is called forum
so you have to change it and you can download it from www.vbulletin.com and when you go to the bottom click download and then click vb light....so when one of you find out how to install it can you tell me in like order how you do it because im not that much familler ,or how ever you smell it, with php....thanks
