Videos not working on iPhone

Hi all

I am building a site in HTML 5 and (hopefully) have the videos working in all browsers, however when I check on my iPhone they don't work. Am slightly confused as to why as I thought the m4v format was the appropriate one for it.
Can anyone help with this issues, steer me in right direction or offer advice??

The iPhone uses H.264 format.
