Look at the posts in the central
introduction thread (and ignore the replies from the senior members) – the people there sign up, have a one figure amount of posts and never come back again and participate (despite their promises). So, what gives?
I’m a “social purist” (if this is even a term one can use) – I’m not a small-talk person, I’m direct in the expression of my opinion sometimes, I often find trivial chit-chat strange if it comes from someone I don’t know (those who know me usually like me and those who don’t know me think I’m distant until they get to know me), and my view is that you come here, contribute, and you will automatically get acquainted along the way. And if you don’t contribute regularly then who you are and what you do is irrelevant for most of the rest of the community (at least for me, that is, and I just assume for others, too).
So, there you go. Ka-ching, two cents from me.
