Hello camillo,
An easy way to check is by validating. See the links about validating both CSS and Markup in my signature line.

Validate often DURING development - Use it like a splelchecker | Debug during Development |Write it for FireFox, ignore IE
Use the right DocType | Validate your markup | Validate your CSS | Why validating is good | Why tables are bad

It is definitely wrong in technical terms (nesting) but it’s most likely also wrong in semantic terms. Read about document outlines.
