Question Images That Can't Be Taken

Fifteen years ago I was helping out in GeoCities Help Chat. A friend came in and asked us all to go to his website and try to steal his images on his pages. We tried the usual ways, downloading the page, right-clicking, viewing the source code and failed. Even a screenshot failed to take them. He has always refused to tell anyone how he did that.

Does anyone here know how he could have accomplished that?

I've never seen screenshot not working

But in any case, if your friend thinks his/her photos can't be taken once they appear on a computer screen, they are sadly mistaken.

Anyone with an IQ above their show size should be able to work out that they can, as a very last resort, take a high resolution photo of the image on the screen. For most uses, the quality of the photo will be good enough especially after it is cropped and enhanced if required in Photoshop.

General rule is if you can see it, you can take it.

I've yet to come across a website where you can't...
