side of page cut off on mobile/tablet

the side gets cut off and it looks like this. does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

These days I think the best solution is media queries. You could use your existing pages, with the hard-coded fixed sizes, but then provide altered versions for devices with smaller screens.
