Why won't Adsense ads show on this particular site?

I use the same code on 4 different, similar sites. They won't appear on this site however:

there is an Adsense 120x600 banner in the left column. The banner is two weeks old and has been (and still is) successfully running on the three other sites.

What's going on? I checked the other .js files for conflicts and even completely removed them all at one point just to be sure. The banner still won't show.

Any ideas? This one has me stumped.

P.S. I know the site is awful and ancient! I don't need comments on that.

I've dug it out after a few years of non-use to try and revive it. It has a good database of users and reviews to be rolled out.
