Question Virus/Bug Issue: i.trkjmp.com/click

After scanning my HD's with SpyHunter, Malwarebytes, AVG, Tune-up and whatever else I could find, I am still suffering this most annoying bug which is creating a random link in my browser pages (Chrome & IE)

The html is showing there is a link/bug, which is as followed;

"<a title="Click to Continue &gt; by Browse to Save"
id="_GPLITA_1"
style="text-decoration:underline"
href="http://i.trkjmp.com/click?v=long-coding"
in_rurl="http://i.trkjmp.com/click?long-coding"
in_hdr="1">random word</a>

Please help of how to remove this thing!!!

Thanks

Hi Joycie,

Few questions, what OS are you running? Could you put up a screenshot of what/where this link is positioned?

Couple of suggestions.

1. Clear your Windows Temp folder (C:\Windows\Temp)
2. Clear your users Temp Folder (click start, Run and type %username%)
3. Check your startup folder for anything strange
3.1. Open Start > Run > type msconfig and press enter > navigate to startup tab and check for anything strange (upload screenshots if unsure with the programs location showing).
3.2 NOTE: ***Only use this if confident with your computers registry***
Open Start > Run > type regedit > Navigate to HKEY LOCAL MACHINE > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Run
Check this for anything suspicious (Do not delete if unsure!)
4. Check your system app data for suspicious folders/exe's (location depends on your OS
5. Cleare your Temporary Internet Files/Cache (easiest to do through your browsers settings).

You should be able to get rid of it with the following:
IE:
you need to open Internet Explorer->Tools->Manage Addons->Disable i.trkjmp.com/crossdomain.xml related addons or disable all unverified addons.

FF:
you need to open your Mozilla Firefox->Tools->Add-ons->Extensions->Find i.trkjmp.com/crossdomain.xml related extensions or disable all unverified extensions.

Chrome:
you need to open your Google Chrome->Wrench Icon->Tools->Extensions->Unclick the Enabled to disable i.trkjmp.com/crossdomain.xml Extension and then click the Bin button to remove it. (The extension could be called 'save as')

Thumbs up

Thank you Exodus_AU!

It seems the issue has been cleared after multiple scans with different virus scans...it probably has picked up on it eventually - though, I will copy and save your note just in case ;-)

Thanks again!
