Flash or JS?

Hi,

I have been writing a website in CSS & HTML and i know basic JavaScript.

On my website i want to add a rolling image gallery style function on the side (no linking with it or maximizing the image, it will just display as is).

I know this can be achieved with JavaScript and CSS however my knowledge is not yet good enough to code something like this.

I do know how to use flash and ActionScript, im aware of all the issues to using flash on a website however would you recommend i spend the time learning how to do this in JS and CSS or something this small on a website would be ok to do in flash?

Redcoder has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Won't take you very long to learn how to do it in Javascript/JQuery. Could actually be a good learning opportunity - the necessary push you need to get your feet in those waters.

But, Flash is not all that bad for such stuff. Its bad if you use it for text and such.

Good Luck.

It will work for more of your visitors if you use JavaScript - more people have JavaScript enabled than install Flash. Some people even use JavaScript in their browser to disable Flash except where they specifically want to allow it.
