Domain names

I own the .co.uk and .com main domain names for my business which I have registered with a web hosting company.

I now want to buy a whole bunch of domain names which are similar to mine (to prevent someone else taking them). Can anyone tell me whether it makes a difference as to whether I should stick to the same company or if a different one will suffice (its just that I plan to buy a fair few names and some different sites are much cheaper).

Ultimately, these names that I purchase will just be redirected to the main site (ie these names won't have websites themselves).

Any advice?

Thanks.

It doesn't matter which registrar, or if there are multiple registrars. You might check with the one you started with as to whether they have some sort of "bulk" plan. Often if you own say 10 domains, they will have some plan that will get them cheaper than 10x the price of one.
