Smile Hilarios interview - web development

A conversation I had on the phone, made me laugh like crazy. I was talking about I how enjoy working front-end web development, but would be happy with back-end too.

What was the phrase, "its kinda boring when all you do is front-end. I like doing front-end and back-end development".

Need advice. These terms clearly need to be used with caution. Does it sound odd, or is just me?

What kind of advice do you need? Were you the one to interview an applicant and don't know what to make of this statement?

Redcoder has a little shameless behaviour in the past
You can substitute front-end with client-side, back-end with server-side.

Although I'm too not sure whether you were the interviewer or interviewee.

That is kind of funny. I could see it being a bit awkward and funny at the same time if the conversation led you to mention that you 'like it in the back-end.' RedCoder makes a good suggestion in the post above mine.
