Issues with absolute positioned menu disappearing on hover

So I have a site with a menu that disappears when you hover over it.

The site is here: http://struere.digisavvy.com/

To replicate, click on the 'Projects' menu item on the RIGHT side of the site. Then you will see a drop down. Click any of the links within the drop down, then move your mouse to some other section of the site and then you will see yet another drop down pop up. Obviously, when a user clicks a link from the first drop down, the second drop down should just appear.

Not sure what's going on. Doesn't seem to be a conflict that I can see. So I need an extra pair of eyes here. =)

I tried changing the z-index on the menu items on the right, but that still didn't seem to do the trick. It seems there's some element on the right side that is causing this behavior. When I take the menu on the right and put it on the left side, it doesn't exhibit the same behavior. Weird.
