client login area to view individual private galleries in wordpress

Ive been working on this web project for what seems like forever and I have finally gotten to the end, where I am completely stumped. I need to have an area where a client can login to view his individual private gallery. My website is mmp.power1.com, it is a wordpress site. Ive searched several different options but none seem to work, most involve going to wp-login and loggin in as a member of the wordpress backend, I dont want that, all I want is to have private galleries where a client can login to it, and upon a correct login they will be redirected to his/her gallery.

I think that the WP plugins for a membership system is the way to do it.
You need the user to have the ability to change their password, have it
emailed if they forget, etc. And also for admin level people to edit the
members / membership.

It would be my guess that you would use a plugin like that and there would
be the option to put a login widget on any page (like the homepage). The
members would not be using the wp-admin login. Maybe they even have options
for using your facebook, or google account login?

I have tried that, but sofar it just takes them into the wp backend which i do not want to do, i was want them to be able to view the gallery frontend, also it seemed to lock my entire website and make the frontpage the login screen
