How much would it cost to make a website similar to wimp.com?

EDIT: Actually, I would like to create this type of simple website myself. Is it possible I can do it with Adobe's Dreamweaver? [Look at the site (wimp.com) and go through some links, they even have an upload page.] I have no experience in coding but would actually want to create the website myself, I just don't know how. So Any tips/direction as to create a website like that? Even though it looks so simple, I couldn't believe how many hours it would take for a non-coder to manually code it himself.

As you say, it would take many hours for someone with no experience of coding HTML/CSS/Javascript. And even then the result is likely to be questionable. Obviously you will need not just the website but the back-end to store and process the videos. That will require server-side coding.

As Old Pedant said recently, "It may or may not come as a surprise to you, but NightmarishStalker (the much more descriptive name for DreamWeaver) produces about the worst and most out of date JavaScript code possible. Nobody that I know of in this forum is really willing to tackle DrunkWhomper code."

In short, Dreamweaver is not highly thought of around here.

Presumably you would not attempt to service or repair a machine or appliance without any experience or understanding of how it worked.

Your best course of action is to hire a professional. You can get a feel for what it might cost if you post in the WEb Projects section of this forum.

Oh, yes I'm planning on having some type of DMCA form. I'll research all that later.
But yeah, this is a site I'm most likely not going to get to soon, but later.

Looks to me like this question is in the wrong forum.

Gimp.com doesn't use JavaScript for anything significant. It seems to run its list of videos off of a database back-end (witness the ability to pick a random video from its storehouse). So probably 95% or more of the site is all PHP or other server-side coding.

So... If you want to learn how to create a site like that, time to start learning MySQL and PHP and HTML and CSS. And that's about it.
