Printform.. Enddoc? Printer error 486

Hi, it's probably obvious but I have no real interest or knowledge when it comes to programming and it has finally landed me into difficulty!

I have a cutomer with a printing problem. He runs an obscure management database program that has recently stopped passing jobs to the printer. By doing some troubleshooting which I'll detail later I know it has to be something wrong with Windows. When asked to print I get "runtime error 482. printer error". He has Windows 7 64 hp.

After a bit of googling around the only thing I havent tried is applying a potential fix that requires the use of Visual Basic (I think) but I have no idea where to start, it says that I have to stop using 'printform' and go 'use end doc' or something? Heres the link:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/242483

Things I have tried so far:
Tried different printers
There are no printer selection options in the database plus the manufacturers of it have looked and they cant figure this out either.
cleaned registry with ccleaner
sfc /scannow reveals 'tcpmon.ini' is corrupt which has something to do with printing but I have replaced that with a working version.

So can someone help me at all, maybe give me a step by step of what to do? Or do I just have to reinstall Windows (dont really want to). Many, many thanks in advance!

Never mind, finally fixed it with a upgrade repair.

Thanks for the hospitality.
